A preparation guide, not a pre-release crew list
Rockstar’s public material introduces Raul Bautista as an experienced bank robber looking for people willing to take risks. It also introduces Brian Heder and several other characters with their own regional ties. Those descriptions establish that robbery and criminal work are part of the story. They do not identify every recruitable crew member, a skill rating system, a preparation board or a best crew combination.
This guide provides a framework for evaluating heist preparation after launch. It does not publish a fake recruitment route. Every recommendation will cite a mission or in-game menu and state if a choice was tested once or repeated. The objective is to help readers compare trade-offs rather than tell them that one unverified loadout is universally optimal.
Record the job and its prerequisites
When the game presents a robbery objective, capture its title, starting point, mission text and any visible prerequisites. Record whether the task is mandatory or optional and whether it appears in a story chapter or free roam. If the job offers a planning phase, list the exact options shown. Do not infer that a familiar setup from an earlier Grand Theft Auto title exists here.
A clear mission page should state the platform and game version, the save state used, the chosen protagonist and the objective that starts the sequence. If a preparation task can be skipped, explain what the game changes and whether the payout or difficulty differs. These details make the route reproducible and keep the mission directory connected to related hints.

Compare crew choices with controlled tests
If the game lets players choose crew, compare one variable at a time. Keep the approach, route and equipment stable while changing one recruit. Record the displayed cost, any skill description, dialogue, complications, completion result and credited reward. Repeat the comparison because a single run can contain random or story-driven variation.
A useful crew guide should say what a choice improves and what it costs. If the UI uses descriptive labels instead of numbers, preserve the exact wording and explain how the outcome was observed. Do not invent a percentage or rank because a character portrait looks experienced. Readers should see the difference between an in-game rating and an editor’s subjective impression.
Getaway and vehicle choices
A getaway guide should test the vehicle that the mission actually permits. Record whether a vehicle is supplied, can be selected in advance or is taken during the mission. Note how it behaves on the route and what happens if it is damaged or abandoned. Avoid claims about top speed or trunk capacity unless the game displays a spec or a controlled measurement supports it.
The official media archive contains promotional vehicle images and edition benefits, but an image is not a handling chart. Our loadout reference links official items and labels what Rockstar has not specified. Once vehicles are testable, a separate strategy table can compare steering, acceleration, protection and storage with a transparent method.

Fences and post-job proceeds
If a job involves stolen goods or a fence, a complete route should identify the in-game contact, the items accepted, any fee shown and the amount the player receives. Test whether the result changes with damage, detection, route length or a chosen partner. If the game changes a reward based on mission state, show the conditions rather than calling one payout the standard.
The word “fence” in a story discussion does not prove a repeatable selling system. Rockstar has not published an exhaustive list of fence locations or exchange rules in the public material linked here. The economy analysis explains why this guide waits for direct evidence.
A launch-ready prep checklist
For now, the safe checklist is procedural: record the job name; list the options displayed; select one approach; capture the result; reload a separate save if the game permits it; repeat the test; note any variation; and add the platform and version to the article. Do not risk a single save to test an irreversible choice. Do not follow leaked crew lists as if they were an official roster.
After release, we will link each tested job to its individual mission walkthrough, explain relevant map locations in the atlas and put short interaction solutions in hints. This page will remain marked as a preparation guide until the relevant features are confirmed. Honest status labels are more useful than a fabricated end-to-end heist route.
Keep a guide that another player can follow
- Record the platform, game version, starting condition, and actual objective wording.
- Keep required steps separate from optional discoveries and editorial preferences.
- Describe the recovery point immediately after any step that can fail.
Field note: The completion roadmap is useful only when a requirement can be traced to the game’s own record or a reproducible result. Leave an uncertain total open.
Questions & answers
Is this a completed in-game route?
The page’s testing status defines its scope. A pre-release planning guide does not claim a completed campaign run.
Are chapter orders or collectible totals guessed?
No. A complete route needs a stated method and evidence from the released game or an explicit publisher source.
How can a reader report a mismatch?
Use the contact page and include the platform, version, starting state, and the step whose result differs.
