What this planning guide is for
GTA VI is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, according to Rockstar’s current announcement. Before release, a writer cannot truthfully test a mission route, collectible loop, side activity or 100% completion sequence. This page therefore describes the evidence and organization needed for a reliable master checklist; it is not a claim that a complete walkthrough already exists.
The goal is to prevent a familiar launch problem: a long checklist built from leaked mission names or assumptions that later turns out to be wrong. A useful 100% guide starts with the game’s own completion rules, records which activity categories affect progress, and marks optional trophies separately. That information has to come from the released game or an official source.
Step one: record a clean starting state
On the first launch, record the platform, game version and whether any update has been installed. Start a fresh save or identify the existing save clearly. Note accessibility, difficulty and aim settings that could affect a route. If the game offers separate autosave and manual-save slots, document what the interface says before relying on either.
A reader should be able to reproduce the starting conditions without deleting their own progress. We will make recommendations only after observing the actual save interface. Until then, do not follow a social post instructing players to erase a save or disable a system feature to unlock an unverified secret.

GTA VI 100% Completion Master Checklist: How We’ll Build the Verified Route
A launch-ready completion framework. Gameplay categories remain unconfirmed until they can be read and tested in the released game.
Step two: build the objective taxonomy
Once the game exposes its progress menu, group requirements by the categories it actually uses. Likely questions include story chapters, optional missions, collectibles, activities, awards and platform achievements, but this list is a planning schema rather than a claim that all categories exist in GTA VI. The published guide should copy the in-game label and explain whether it contributes to the title’s completion percentage.
Give every objective a stable identifier and link it to one article. That avoids duplicate instructions when a collectible belongs to a region guide and a mission walkthrough. Mark objectives that are missable, repeatable, platform-specific or version-sensitive only after testing. If the game has no official list, explain the method used to count objectives.
Step three: test routes and recovery
For each objective, record its starting point, prerequisite, exact actions, completion cue and result. Repeat important routes and note alternate outcomes. A good walkthrough includes the point where a player can safely stop, how to recover if a step fails and whether the game records progress across a restart. Never treat an observed reward as a universal value until the test has been reproduced.
Route tests should use a stable save copy where possible and avoid placing a reader’s only save at risk. If a mission has a branching choice, document each branch separately and state what cannot be revisited. The mission hub will hold individual route pages; the hints hub will hold concise solutions that do not require a full replay.

Step four: publish a versioned checklist
A master route should carry a revision date and tested build. It should state the target completion definition, link to each objective guide, provide a progress count and note known misses. If a patch changes the route, preserve the old note with the date and describe the new test. That allows readers to understand why a saved checklist differs from the current version.
Our IndexedDB checklist stores only local progress on the reader’s device. It is not a cloud backup and is not tied to an account. Clear browser data or a device change can remove it. The counter is a convenience for this guide, not proof that the game itself recognizes an objective.
What readers can do before launch
Before the game releases, follow Rockstar’s official announcements, prepare the platform account, decide how spoilers should be shown and save the guide’s source policy. Do not fill a completion tracker with mission names copied from leaks. The story timeline tracks public announcements, and the map page keeps official region art distinct from an invented route.
After launch, the first priority is to learn the actual completion screen and verify one category at a time. We will publish sections when evidence is strong enough, leaving unknown categories visibly pending. A transparent incomplete guide is more valuable than a confident fake 100% route.
Keep a guide that another player can follow
- Record the platform, game version, starting condition, and actual objective wording.
- Keep required steps separate from optional discoveries and editorial preferences.
- Describe the recovery point immediately after any step that can fail.
Field note: The completion roadmap is useful only when a requirement can be traced to the game’s own record or a reproducible result. Leave an uncertain total open.
Questions & answers
Is this a completed in-game route?
The page’s testing status defines its scope. A pre-release planning guide does not claim a completed campaign run.
Are chapter orders or collectible totals guessed?
No. A complete route needs a stated method and evidence from the released game or an explicit publisher source.
How can a reader report a mismatch?
Use the contact page and include the platform, version, starting state, and the step whose result differs.
